'eat w/ us' dinner series

hosted by mesa

hey friend! i’m excited to introduce you to my 'eat w/ us' dinner series - a cozy gathering where strangers become friends over home-cooked food and meaningful conversations. whether you're new to the city or a local looking for fresh connections, this is your invitation to sit down, relax, and enjoy a home-cooked meal with a small group of up to 6 people max.

  • 6 new friends

the small group setting ensures it's never overwhelming - just a night filled with laughter, conversation, and comfort food in a homey space.

  • themed nights

we’ll mix it up with 3 themes: educational, wild, or lols. guests will submit their topics beforehand - pick your palette for the night.

  • menu reveal

once the cuisine is chosen, i’ll share the menu a few days before the dinner. just let me know your dietary needs, and i’ll make sure everyone’s covered.

about your host

nice to meet you! i’m trishia, your host for eat w/ us nights. after leaving the 9-5 grind (temporarily), i turned my passion for cooking and hosting into mesa, my tableware brand (launching soon) celebrating connection and shared meals.

i believe food brings people together, and i’m excited to create a warm and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy delicious food and great company. as an introvert, i know how challenging it can be to meet new people, so i’m here to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. i can’t wait to share laughter and stories with you all!

  • educational

share something mind-blowing, quirky, or surprisingly useful. whether it's a random fact, a life hack, or a mini crash course, this is your chance to teach us something new!

  • wild

bring the most outrageous, off-the-wall, or unexpected topic to the table. the wilder, the better - let’s see how far your creativity can go!

  • lol

time to make us laugh! choose a hilarious or absurd topic that’ll get everyone giggling. from funny personal stories to bizarre internet finds, anything goes in the lol category.

the details

when will the dinners take place?

dinners are hosted thursdays, fridays or weekends, and the theme + menu is revealed a few days before.

where will the dinners be held?

i’m based in the lower north shore, and I know it can be a trek for some, but you can always share an uber with someone. plus, it might just be your excuse to explore a cozy part of sydney you haven’t visited yet.

what should I bring?

while i absolutely love hosting these dinners, i also recognise that the cost of living is rising. to help cover the food and make these dinner parties sustainable, i'd appreciate it if we could contribute $30 per person. this way, I can ensure everyone enjoys a delicious meal without stretching my budget too thin. thank you for understanding, and i can’t wait to share a wonderful evening together!

what if I’m new to the city or don’t know anyone?

no worries! my dinner series is designed to be friendly and welcoming, perfect for newcomers and locals alike. it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and connect over shared experiences. there is no pressure for you to stay if you're not vibing!

do I have to make a powerpoint, and how long should it be?

for our ppt nights, we’ll keep the vibe lively and engaging with presentations, but we’ll also have dedicated evenings for a more relaxed “dine and chat” experience. these nights will focus on good food and conversation without the presentations, allowing everyone to unwind and connect in a chill atmosphere.

what kind of themed icebreakers can i expect?

to keep things light and fun, we'll have themed icebreakers during our gatherings. these activities are designed to spark laughter and conversation, making it easy to connect with others.

can i bring a friend?

unfortunately, due to the small group size, this dinner series is limited to 6 participants, so it’s best to come solo. however, feel free to invite your friend to join us for a future dinner!
